What is Burnout?

Burnout is the officially sanctioned post-Burning Man Decompression event for Portland, Oregon and the surrounding areas. The goal for this event is to give provide an opportunity for local Burners to host art, build community, inspire creativity, perform and enjoy music, and create memories as they return from the Playa/decompress from the Burning Man season (or consider attending next year!). Burnout gives people in the Portland area an opportunity to celebrate, network, learn about, and build connections with other like-minded people in our region.
Burnout 2023
Burnout 2023 was held Saturday, September 30th 2023 at JAJA PDX & the Haven (819 SE Taylor), an art and performance warehouse in inner Southeast Portland. This event included a free, all-ages section and a ticketed, 21+ area.
Burnout 2022
After three long years, Burnout returned!
Burnout 2022 was held October 8th at 12pm through October 9th at 12pm and took take place in and around JAJA PDX (819 SE Taylor), an art and performance warehouse in inner Southeast Portland. This event includes a free, all-ages section and a ticketed, 21+ area. More event info here.

BURNOUT 2017 EVENT INFORMATION: BurnOut 2017 is the inaugural event for Precipitation Northwest, with proceeds benefiting our organization’s ongoing programs. This year the event will be held at The North Warehouse, which is conveniently located close to the Portland city center as well as major public transit such as the MAX, Portland Streetcar, and buses. It will allow for both indoor and outdoor art and music exhibits, and food and alcohol will be available for purchase indoors. Activities include live DJs, theme camps, performances, and interactive art, with an expected attendance of 800+ attendees over the course of the evening. Adjacent to the BurnOut event will be the BurnOut Annex, which is a free event open to the public that will allow visitors the opportunity to learn more about our organization, our activities, and our vibrant burner community.
